All Saints Church
The Church of All Saint’s, Parish Church of Middle Claydon, nestles in the gardens beside Claydon House. There has been a church on the site since the 1200s and it is still in use today.
The interior of the church is beautiful and contains a fascinating array of monuments to various Verney ancestors including Sir Edmund Verney, Standard Bearer to King Charles I, and Sir Harry Verney, 2nd Baronet, who lived at Claydon for over 60 years and for 50 of them was a Member of Parliament.
