Almshouses

Located in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, Claydon Estate has over 170 acres of scenic parkland and Walled Gardens offering flexible open spaces for public, private and corporate events, as well as filming and photography.

Within Middle Claydon village are four almshouses, owned by the Verney Almshouse Charity, which can trace its roots back to a charity established by Sir Ralph Verney, 1st Baronet (1613-1696).

The charity’s purpose is to help people in the Claydons villages through the provision of almshouse accommodation.

Each almshouse has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room and access to outside space. They are managed by Claydon Estate on behalf of the charity.
