Renewable Energy and Natural Resources
Claydon Estate believes in contributing to a sustainable future. The estate’s green energy initiatives form part of this vision.
Renewable Energy and Natural Resources
Biomass
Biomass is a renewable and sustainable source of heat.
Our Biomass boiler produces heat and hot water using woodchip sourced from sustainable forestry. A number of our tenants benefit from this renewable source of energy.
Solar Energy
Claydon Estate is working alongside Rosefield Solar Farm to produce renewable energy from solar power. For more information on the project, visit: Rosefield
Rainwater Harvesting
In 2023, we completed the construction of a new grain store. We have installed 50,000 litres capacity of rainwater storage tanks to collect rainwater off the building’s roof. This will reduce our farming enterprise’s reliance on mains water.
