Part Time Marketing and Events Manager

The Claydon Estate is a traditional but commercially run Country Estate with a focus on events and visitor attractions and is looking to recruit a part-time marketing and events manager.

The role is varied and involves a range of duties to include:

  • Being responsible for all Estate marketing, to include all social media platforms, website updates and development, producing monthly newsletters, advertising and publications.
  • To work with event partners to deliver annual events held across the Estate, being responsible for all operational and administrative aspects required, including the production of licenses and risk assessments.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing social media platforms and be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. Working hours are flexible and will include some weekend/evening working.

Experience in design and WordPress is desirable. A competitive salary, package and training will be available to the right candidate.

Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £18,500.00-£21,000.00 per year

Part Time Holiday Cottages Housekeeper

We have a vacancy for a housekeeper for the Estate’s two holiday cottages.
We are looking for a housekeeper who has an eye for detail with great communication skills to join our team on a Monday and Friday morning. You must be able to work independently and have a passion for your role.

The role is varied and involves a range of duties to include:

  • Ensuring the cottages are clean and equipped for handover. Attention to detail and the highest standards of customer care are essential requirements.
  • Overseeing welcome pack quality and procurement
  • Ensuring the laundry is available and cleaned to the required standard
  • Checking of smoke alarms, fuel levels and light bulbs
  • Laying fires
  • Reporting of any breakages and maintenance issues

Previous housekeeping experience essential. Occasional weekend and bank holidays working may be required.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • An ability to work unsupervised, using your own initiative

Part-time hours: 12 per week. Monday and Friday mornings.

Salary: £10.00-£15.00 per hour


Part Time Chef/Cook

We are currently looking for a passionate chef/cook to join our team in the Phoenix Kitchen at the Claydon Estate. We are an integral part of our courtyard here at the estate and we are surrounded by beautiful grounds and gardens. Attracting visitors from the house, gardens and the local area. We serve fresh, wholesome locally sourced food and homemade cakes to our guests as they enjoy the surroundings.

The Job

You will assist in menu creation, the preparation and service of fresh seasonal food, ordering and ensuring that all required standards are met, and our customers are enjoying their experience with us. Duties will also include baking and assisting with the day-to-day cleanliness of the department. We are a growing business and as we grow there will be opportunities for you to grow with us.

The Person

  • Enthusiastic in what you do.
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen with recognised qualifications essential.
  • Passion for providing great fresh food and a capable baker, a real ‘foodie’.
  • Good time management.
  • Deal well with pressure.
  • Team player, willingness to get stuck in.
  • ‘Can do’ attitude with a proactive approach to what you do.
  • Awareness of allergens.
  • Food hygiene certificate level 1 or above.
  • Willingness to learn.

Job Type: Part Time

Pay/Salary: Pay per hour dependent on experience.   

Hours of work: Monthly Rota. Sociable hours – typically 8am – 4pm but dependent on the needs of the business with occasional evening work, you would be required to work a mixture of weekdays, weekends and some bank holidays.

All shifts are rota based and we work with you to ensure the rota covers the requirements of the business and accommodates where possible a positive work life balance. We believe happy staff produce the best results.

Opening Hours

Claydon Courtyard and Phoenix Kitchen are open daily, between 10am-5pm.
