Now in its 56th year, Towersey Festival is the longest running independent festival in the country and is coming to Claydon Estate this August Bank Holiday…
Towersey is about family, folk, music and arts. It’s an exciting, inspiring, relaxing and homely place where you can see a line-up of top musicians and artists as well as discover new music, learn new skills and experience new things. It’s a festival for everyone, from small kids to grandparents, a place you can create family memories together.
A small but perfectly formed Towersey Festival – Lots of space and very safe!
This year, Towersey don’t believe that running a full scale Towersey Festival in the usual way is a sensible approach and so have developed a Pint-Sized Towersey Festival that has the potential to be socially distanced if required, is predominantly outside and has a massively reduced audience in order to have all the space that many of us may well want.
There will be 3 main stages/spaces. Venue 65 and The Big Club will be outdoor stages with large audience spaces in front with enough room to socially distance if needed. There will be a large covered (but open sided) workshop space with enough room for at least 400 workshop participants at every workshop even with social distancing.
They have retained a brilliant line up of artists and hope to feature new artists, which will make for a stunning weekend of music and fun. On top of this will be Workshops, daily Ceilidhs (socially distanced if needed), Storytelling, Circus, Crafts, Games, Film and more of the usual Towersey Festival magic!
