The Spa @ The Courtyard expands to new larger premises

The Spa @ The Courtyard expands to new larger premises

Therapist and spa owner Sam ran her beauty business from home for many years until she moved to Claydon Courtyard in 2020.

Two years on and Sam has now had the opportunity to expand within Claydon Courtyard. Sam had always dreamt of growing the business, so this was the perfect opportunity.  The Spa is still very much in the heart of Claydon Courtyard, and with more space, Sam has some exciting plans for 2023.

I caught up with Sam to talk about her plans for the year ahead.

You’ve recently moved into larger premises, what does that mean for your business?

Moving into larger premises means that I can grow the business in a way that wasn’t possible before. I have some great plans for the year ahead, and over time the spa will continue to evolve.

The new premises allows me to have more clearly defined areas for my treatments, including a new dedicated reception area where visitors can walk in, make enquiries, book treatments, and buy gift vouchers. We’ll also have a retail area selling a range of wellness products.

I’m also developing a dedicated area for our spa days. Our spa looks out onto a private courtyard garden and, during the summer months, clients will be able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.  I’m currently making plans to install a hot tub which will make an exciting addition to our spa day packages.

What can clients expect from your spa days?

We only take small bookings for our spa days which are special, intimate, and unique. Anyone booking a spa day will have exclusive use of the spa area. You will receive a warm welcome and leave with a great sense of well-being and relaxation.

As part of our package, you’ll receive a nurturing treatment lasting from 1 to 1.5 hours. Food and refreshments are also included.

We use Ila spa treatments, which are particularly special. I really like what the Ila brand stands for and subscribe to their philosophy. It’s important to me to be able to use products that are ecologically mindful, sustainable, organic, nourishing, and calming.

The Ila brand has a “beyond organic” philosophy, and they work directly with growers and farmers to support local communities. Each ingredient is painstakingly sourced from remote parts of the world for its physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits; their products are then hand-blended using Ayurvedic traditions just down the road in Chipping Norton!

What’s more, ….

It really is a truly unique brand, with every product having the ability to nourish and balance the individual.

What one thing would you like your customers to take away from their spa experience?

I want our clients to leave with the feeling that they’ve been well and truly looked after and treated like they’re number one.

I want clients to leave feeling that they’ve experienced something really special.

You’re having an open day soon, what can visitors expect?

We have an open day scheduled for Mother’s Day, more information to follow!

We’ll open the spa for people to come and have a look around. Staff will be onsite to answer any questions, and we’ll have treatment demonstrations as well as special offers. Keep a lookout for more information.

What would you recommend for those that may consider booking a treatment for their mum this mothers day?

Definitely a spa day or one of our spa massages – the Indian head massage is a particularly popular choice. If you are unsure of what to get, I would recommend a gift voucher. This way mum has the flexibility to book a treatment on a day and time that suits her.

How do people find out more about your treatments or make a booking?

Visit our website to read more or to book a treatment. Do keep an eye out as we’ll be adding more information over the coming months.
