We are looking for a passionate part-time chef/cook to join our team in the Phoenix Kitchen on the Claydon Estate.

The Phoenix Kitchen is an integral part of Claydon Courtyard and is a popular destination to visitors from Claydon House & Gardens, Claydon Courtyard and the local area. We serve fresh, homemade locally sourced food, and cakes to our visitors, as they enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Claydon Courtyard.

The Job: You will assist in the menu creation, preparation and service of fresh seasonal food. As well as ordering and ensuring that all required standards are met, and our customers are enjoying their experience with us. Duties will also include baking, and assisting with the day to day cleanliness of the department.

The Person:

· Enthusiastic in what you do.

· Experience in a commercial kitchen with recognised qualifications essential.

· Passion for providing great fresh food and a capable baker, a real ‘foodie’.

· Good time management.

· Deal well with pressure.

· Team player, willingness to get stuck in.

· ‘Can do’ attitude with a proactive approach to what you do.

· Awareness of allergens.

· Food hygiene certificate level 2 or above.

Job Type:

Pay/Salary: Pay dependent on experience.

Hours of work: We are currently looking for someone to work Sunday and Monday – typically 9am – 5pm. Additional hours will be available if you are also happy to work front of house.
